Frequently Asked Questions
Practical/ logistics
Do you work with clients outside the Netherlands?
Absolutely. I work remotely and have supported clients across Europe. As long as we can communicate in English (or Dutch, or even Spanish to a certain degree) and find overlapping working hours, location is no obstacle.
What does a typical week of support look like?
That depends entirely on what you need and on which basis. Daily, weekly, several hours per month, or just 1-time-only project: all can work for me, as long as we agree on tasks, time, and priorities together and adjust your needs to how your business moves.
How many hours can I book you for?
This varies. If you want to be supported in an ongoing way, I need a commitment of min. 4 hours per week. Otherwise, for infrequent, smaller or bigger projects, we can discuss a number of hours per month, per project or period.
The best starting point is a conversation about what you need and how I can help out.
Do you work on a retainer or project basis, too?
Yes, this can all work, too.
A retainer works well if you need consistent, reliable support over time, but don’t have an idea about the specific amount of hours. We will agree with a number of hours per period, and figure out on the way how that works out.
Project-based works well for defined assignments with a clear start and end.
Either way, we’ll figure it out together.
Can you replace my assistant or support employee?
Yes! If my calendar permits it, I’d happily jump in for several weeks or months and cover for your right hand whilst on holiday or maternity/ paternity leave. I can also support your team(s) in times of heavy workload.
Do you work fully remote or also in-person?
In principle, I work remote and location independent.
In rare, special occasions, I may be able to an office or attend a meeting in-person. Nothing we can’t discuss!
Values/ positioning
Why do you only work with vegan and impact-driven businesses?
Because the work I do is an extension of my values. I’ve been vegan for years and I genuinely care about the animals and the world. Working with clients whose mission I 100% believe in makes me a better, more invested support partner. Which is better for everyone involved. (Plus; I can’t sleep if I am knowingly harming animals.)
Do you work with non-vegan clients?
If your business is impact-driven, ethical, and doing something good in the world, let’s talk. But if your work involves animal products or industries I find harmful, I’ll respectfully thank you for the opportunity. I can help you find someone in my network that would suit you, though.
What makes you different from a regular VA (Virtual Assistant)?
As far as ‘regular’ VA’s go, as everyone is unique in their own way, it sounds like regular VA services execute tasks and follow up on cues. I dare to say, I bring more seniority and ownership. I think along with you, flag things before they become problems, push back when something doesn’t feel right, and bring a strategic eye to the work.
I’m psychology-informed, bilingual, and genuinely invested in your mission: that’s the difference.
What is the difference between the titles Virtual Assistant and Business Support?
For me, the term Virtual Assistant often sounds too ‘light’ for what the job often encompasses. You can call me Sparring Partner, Project Manager, Executive Assistant, Management Assistant, Administrative Assistant, Marketing Support, or any other funky title you’d like to give me. The term Business Support seems to cover all the options, in my humble opinion.

How do you handle confidential client information
With care and discretion. I treat everything I encounter in your business, client data, financials, internal communications, as strictly confidential. I’m happy to sign an NDA and make specific agreements to give you peace of mind.
Can you work within our existing systems?
Yes, that’s usually the preference. I’ll adapt to what you already have in place rather than overhauling everything on day one. If I spot something that could work better, I’ll mention it, but the choice is always yours.
If you don’t have any systems in place yet; I’d be happy to help you think of and set up new ways.
